Kim Wheeler

Teen Response Senior Program Manager

Kim Wheeler has always strived to give voice to those overlooked and underserved in Cleveland. She was a TV anchor and reporter for WKYC-TV in Cleveland for 20 years. Kim left the TV business in 2014 to work for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. As an administrator in a high school and then an elementary school, she focused on student achievement, attendance, restorative practices and parent relationships.

Yearning to do more to help refugees coming to Cleveland, she jumped at the chance to work for Re:Source Cleveland. She is thrilled to be the Teen Response Program Manager -- building relationships with the students and their families.

In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, Tracy and their two sons, Terry and Max. Her favorite activities include gardening, hiking, reading and yoga.
