Michael Bartunek

Senior Ohio City Farm Manager

Michael Bartunek is an experienced organic farm manager. He has a B.A. in Geography from Kent State University, and also graduated from Growing Power's commercial urban agriculture program in Milwaukee, WI. He designed and managed Rising Harvest Farms and Community Garden, in Cleveland's Old Brooklyn neighborhood, now an urban winery and community garden.


Additionally he has built and/or oversees numerous community gardens and private projects. This includes the Urban Community School Garden, Open Doors Academy Garden, Group Management Resources (GMS) Corporate Garden, Great Lakes Brewing Company's Pint Size Farm, located in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, MetroHealth System's Hope and Healing Garden and others.

He and his team's projects have been featured on numerous news outlets including appearances and interviews on The Rachel Ray Show, Fox 8 News, Farm and Dairy News and articles in The Plain Dealer, News Herald, Brooklyn News and Edible Cleveland. Michael endeavors to share his love of working with nature through organic farming and gardening with the community.
