Will Brown
Development Director
Will is an experienced writer, strategic thinker, and project manager in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, and has lived in cities across the United States including Baltimore, Oakland, Providence, Chicago, and Cleveland. At Re:Source Cleveland, Will works with a broad range of stakeholders, organizations, and individuals to build support for our teams and programs to continue offering our clients the services they need.
Prior to joining Re:Source Cleveland, Will was a curator of contemporary art and a writer - working independently and at a variety of institutions that include the Museum of Contemporary Art (moCa) Cleveland, the Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, Monument Lab, KADIST, the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, and the Aspen Art Museum. His curatorial work included organizing exhibitions, screenings, events, and performances, as well as teaching and lecturing at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Will’s curatorial career brought him to Cleveland for a position at moCa Cleveland. Following a three year tenure at moCa Will and his partner relocated to Chicago for a brief stint before returning to Cleveland, the place they call home.
Will earned his MA in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts, San Francisco, CA, and his BA in Psychology and Art History from Goucher College, Baltimore, MD.
